What a Great Hat to Participate in the Great Hat Exhibition in London March 22 – 28, 2018

I’m pleased to announce that my fascinator has been selected to be included in The Great Hat Exhibition in London at the end of March. It joins more than 300 hats and fascinators from 37 countries.

My piece was inspired by volcanoes, swirling hot lava and fire. It has a sinamay base and is topped with sinamay and feather “flames,” and swirls of crinoline.

If you’re in London March 22 – 28, stop in and see this fabulous exhibition and be sure to take pictures for me since I won’t be there in person.

The exhibition is a part of London Hat Week. The Great Hat Exhibition 2018 organizer is X Terrace Fashion Platform.  Tickets are available through the X Terrace website.

Celebrity Hat News

Good afternoon hat enthusiasts!  Welcome to the first installment of Monday Celebrity Hat News.  We live in an age where the ability to view and share photos is instantaneous.  The digital movement has made it possible to explore images that can help motivate the rest of us to accessorize with confidence.  Let’s take notice and have the courage to make our own statements…in a great hat of course!

Today’s installment of a celebrity moment caught out and about is one of practicality and style.  This photograph captures Gwen Stefani taking a stroll on a London street with her son.  She can typically be found making the most of her accessories, whether with a statement scarf or a pair of riding boots like we see here.  Her hat is a style statement, not just something keeping her head warm.  A slight tilt forward of the brim makes the look that much more attractive and distinctively Gwen.
