Good morning hat fanatics! This post is for each of you that may be looking for a fresh new style on this Monday morning. I have been taking time at the beginning of each week to share a bit of celebrity style from over the weekend, and recently have found that the fedora seems to have taken center stage this winter. That was until I found these photographs of Adele and Rihanna.
While I like a great fedora as much as the next person, I think these photos show Adele and Rihanna breaking the mold and honoring their own personal style! It does not take much – an embellished headband with a veil attached makes this particular look significant and star-worthy. Each of these women proves that a small veil can be worn anytime anywhere – not just with wedding attire.
A customer called with a special request for a fascinator to wear to an Irish wedding on St. Patrick’s Day. It’s a small wedding of less than 50 people and the bride’s wish was that the women wear fascinators. Here’s what we created to go with her little black dress. The teal beautifully highlights her blue eyes and blonde hair. And she requested a little extra bling that came in the form of a large vintage rhinestone button in the center of the flower as well as some randomly placed crystal rhinestones. Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
Maybe you’re already thinking about the holidays. I tend to procrastinate – my excuse is that I’m busy with shows this time of year. Which is true, but I could probably be more organized, too. Something struck me yesterday and I just felt like creating a green and red fascinator that was fun and festive. This one is on a leather base with a fabulous organza ruffle, a candy cane striped band and a vintage black rhinestone button. Merry and bright!
