Good morning hat enthusiasts! Thank you for taking the time to look at my collection…my vintage hat posts have been such a great way for me to learn more about it. I have found treasures that I didn’t know I had and I am so pleased to share them with you each Friday.
Today I share a unique design by Legroux Soeurs from Paris, which dates from the early 1940s. A label by G. Howard Hodge label also accompanies this piece. As I understand it, some famous makers received permission to “copy” certain French designs.
This vivid navy wool hat is adorned with two heavy veils that can be styled in so many unique ways. It also features a strap in the back to help anchor and secure the hat to the head. I could see Rhianna bringing this vintage piece back to life. What do you think?
