My husband bought me the cutest swing coat with a large-scale pink and gray hounds tooth print. Only problem was that when I tried finding fabrics to go with it I couldn’t put my finger on just the right shade of pink. So I headed to the thrift store and found several old T-shirts in the approximate palate of gray and pink to coordinate with the coat. I knew I wanted to do a color blocked look, so the T-shirts worked out great. And as luck would have it, I found two Hard Rock Cafe T-shirts – one from Chicago and one from Paris – that gave the pieces the funky edge I was looking for. Here’s the finished look.

Good job Paula! Even as I read the description in my email, without the photo, I thought it didn’t sound all that great. T-shirts for a hat? But you really pulled it all together! Looks wonderful!
